Manuel Moises Ortiz,

Manuel Moises Ortiz, son of Jonathan Alfredo Ortiz and Sarita Ortiz, died on Wednesday August 26, 2026. Manuel was born and raised in Chicago, IL. Manuel was born June 1st, 2004.

Manuel Graduated High School from Sarah E. Goode STEM Academy in June 2023. Manuel loved and played soccer for the better part of his life, all during his high school years. Manuel also joined the debate team where he won many awards. Manny, as he was lovingly called by his friends and family, also joined a dance team only to wait for the soccer season. Manny was nominated to attend the NASA STEM Program for high school students. In the summertime, Manny joined programs for the performing arts in the after-school programs.

Manny worked at Chick-fil-A, Tony’s Finer Foods, Mattson Steakhouse and also worked some construction during the summer time.

Manny loved music and soccer and he lived his life one day at a time. His goal was to someday become a professional soccer player. He was taken from us too soon.

Manny is survived by his parents Jonathan A. Ortiz and Sarita Ortiz, and by his siblings, Savana B. Ortiz, Jonathan A. Ortiz Jr and Jayden J. Ortiz

Manny will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
