Jose Asuncion Terrones age 85, went to meet our Lord in heaven, Wednesday, November 25th at home, with family by his side after a courageous battle with bladder cancer. Jose was born in Leon, Gto, Mexico, he served in the United States Army after immigrating to the United States in the 1950s. He lived in Silvis, IL before moving to Chicago to work at Air Burns Air King Corp as a welder. After retuning to Mexico to marry Carmen (nee Perez) he returned to Chicago with his parents. He worked at Ecker-Eckhardt Welding for over 40+ years. His legacy will always be his family. His education as a seminary student in Mexico was the basis for his encouragement for higher education for all of his children. Please remember Jose for his ever hopeful spirit and never wavering faith in his family and GOD. Jose is survived by his most loved wife, 8 children, 4 son-in-laws, daughter-in-law, and 10 grandchildren. He will be remembered and honored by his sister-in-law and brother-in-laws and their families and the entire extended Terrones Family. He will be greatly missed by his many friends and wonderful neighbors. Jose was preceded in death by his parents Raymundo and Maria Luisa (nee Montes) Terrones, and his son Arthur Terrones. Due to Covid restrictions, mass was held on Monday, November 30th at St. Nicholas of Tolentine Catholic Church for family members. As was his wish, his remains will be cremated.
