Jorge Ortiz Morales

Jorge Ortiz-Morales, age 69, passed away April 13, 2026. Born in Monterrey, Mexico on October 7, 1956, he was the second eldest of seven siblings.

Jorge was known for his love for the outdoors, especially fishing, Kayaking and camping. He has taught many, his survival skills and all his dad jokes along the campfire. He has worked hard since he was a little and was always there when someone needed him. He was an amazing and loving father and Grandfather.

Jorge is survived by his children: George (Gloria) Ortiz, Sophia (Ricardo) Contreras-Ortiz and Robert Ortiz. He was the best grandfather to Ricardo Jr Contreras, Nicholas Contreras, Nathan Contreras, and Emma Ortiz and Liam. He leaves behind his beloved pets Archie and Shebo, he also leaves behind his remaining siblings, family and friends. 

Visitation services: Sunday, April 19, 2026 from 2-7 p.m. at G. Martinez Funeral Home, 5725 S. Pulaski Rd.

Funeral Mass: Monday, April 20, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas of Tolentine Catholic Church, 6200 S. Lawndale Ave. Chicago, IL 60629

Burial: Monday, April 20, 2026 at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery, 4401 W 111th St, Chicago, IL 60655
