Angel Rocha, age 69.

Angel Rocha died on May 6th 2026 in his home in Chicago, Illinois. Originally from Mexico City, Angel sought a place to take root to start a career and family and found it in Chicago. He worked on many of the stand out buildings we walk past everyday in downtown Chicago. Angel loved talking to his children about each building and described his crew members and their work in detail. Angel was a hard working man with many friends. When walking around Little Village and Progresso (Mexico City) there were many heartfelt hellos and hugs all around. Angel had five children which he showed much love to and family that ranged from Mexico, Chicago, California and Utah that he adored. Angel loved to laugh, dance and have a good time and ensured that everyone around was comfortable to do the same. Angel’s enjoyment of life was infectious. He loved a good meal, music, supported all Chicago and Mexico teams and took pride in both his city’s. Father, son, brother, uncle and friend were all labels Angel wore with honor. Please spend a moment on his memory with us and give thanks for his life.
